Liber Psalmorum

Filiis Core. Psalmus cantici. Fundamenta ejus in montibus sanctis;

For the sons of Core, a psalm of a canticle. The foundations thereof are the holy mountains:

Ad filios Cauro. Psalmo de cantico. Fundamentos de illo in montes sancto;

diligit Dominus portas Sion super omnia tabernacula Jacob.

The Lord loveth the gates of Sion above all the tabernacles of Jacob.

Domino dilige portas Sione super omni tabernaculos Iacobo.

Gloriosa dicta sunt de te, civitas Dei!

Glorious things are said of thee, O city of God.

Glorioso dicto es de te, civitate de Deo!

Memor ero Rahab et Babylonis, scientium me; ecce alienigenæ, et Tyrus, et populus Æthiopum, hi fuerunt illic.

I will be mindful of Rahab and of Babylon knowing me. Behold the foreigners, and Tyre, and the people of the Ethiopians, these were there.

Memore es Rahabe et de Babylone, sci me; ecce alienigenas, et Tyro, et populo de Aethiopo, hoc es ibi.

Numquid Sion dicet: Homo et homo natus est in ea, et ipse fundavit eam Altissimus?

Shall not Sion say: This man and that man is born in her? and the Highest himself hath founded her.

Numquid Sione homine: dic et homine nato es in illa, et ipso funde illa Altissimo?

Dominus narrabit in scripturis populorum et principum, horum qui fuerunt in ea.

The Lord shall tell in his writings of peoples and of princes, of them that have been in her.

Domino narra in scripturas de populos et de principes, de hoc qui es in illa.

Sicut lætantium omnium habitatio est in te.

The dwelling in thee is as it were of all rejoicing.

Sicut laeta de omni habitatione es in te.
