    Liber Psalmorum

    Psalms

    1

    In finem. In hymnis David.

Unto the end, in hymns, for David.

    In fine. In hymnos Davide.

    2

Exaudi, Deus, deprecationem meam; intende orationi meæ.

Hear, O God, my supplication: be attentive to my prayer.

Exaudi, Deo, deprecatione meo; intende ad oratione meo.

    3

A finibus terræ ad te clamavi, dum anxiaretur cor meum; in petra exaltasti me. Deduxisti me,

    To thee have I cried from the ends of the earth: when my heart was in anguish, thou hast exalted me on a rock. Thou hast conducted me;

Ab fines de terra ad te clama, dum corde meo anxia; in petra exalta me. Deduce me,

    4

quia factus es spes mea: turris fortitudinis a facie inimici.

For thou hast been my hope; a tower of strength against the face of the enemy.

Quia facto es spe meo: turre de fortitudine ab facie de inimicos.

    5

Inhabitabo in tabernaculo tuo in sæcula; protegar in velamento alarum tuarum.

In thy tabernacle I shall dwell for ever: I shall be protected under the covert of thy wings.

Inhabita in tabernaculo tuo in saeculos; protege in velamento de alas tuo.

    6

Quoniam tu, Deus meus, exaudisti orationem meam; dedisti hæreditatem timentibus nomen tuum.

For thou, my God, hast heard my prayer: thou hast given an inheritance to them that fear thy name.

Quia te, Deo meo, exaudi oratione meo; da haereditate time nomine tuo.

    7

Dies super dies regis adjicies; annos ejus usque in diem generationis et generationis.

Thou wilt add days to the days of the king: his years even to generation and generation.

Die super dies de rege adicie; annos de illo usque in die de generatione et de generatione.

    8

Permanet in æternum in conspectu Dei: misericordiam et veritatem ejus quis requiret?

He abideth for ever in the sight of God: his mercy and truth who shall search?

Permane in aeterno in conspectu de Deo: misericordia et qui require veritate de illo?

    9

Sic psalmum dicam nomini tuo in sæculum sæculi, ut reddam vota mea de die in diem.

So will I sing a psalm to thy name for ever and ever: that I may pay my vows from day to day.

Sic psalmo dic ad nomine tuo in saeculo de saeculo, ut redde votos meo de die in die.
