To the end, a psalm of David. The canticle of Jeremias and Ezechiel to the people of the captivity, when they began to go out.
In fine. Psalmo Davide, cantico de Ieremia et de Ezechiele ad populo de transmigratione, cum incipie exi.
Te decet hymnus, Deus, in Sion, et tibi reddetur votum in Jerusalem.
A hymn, O God, becometh thee in Sion: and a vow shall be paid to thee in Jerusalem.
Te dece hymno, Deo, in Sione, et ad te voto redde in Ierusalem.
Exaudi orationem meam; ad te omnis caro veniet.
O hear my prayer: all flesh shall come to thee.
Exaudi oratione meo; ad te omni carne veni.
Verba iniquorum prævaluerunt super nos, et impietatibus nostris tu propitiaberis.
The words of the wicked have prevailed over us: and thou wilt pardon our transgressions.
Verbas iniquo praevale super nos, et ad impietates nostro te propitia.
Beatus quem elegisti et assumpsisti: inhabitabit in atriis tuis. Replebimur in bonis domus tuæ; sanctum est templum tuum,
Blessed is he whom thou hast chosen and taken to thee: he shall dwell in thy courts. We shall be filled with the good things of thy house; holy is thy temple,
Beato quem elige et assume: inhabita in atrios tuo. Reple in bono domo tuo; sancto es templo tuo,
mirabile in æquitate. Exaudi nos, Deus, salutaris noster, spes omnium finium terræ, et in mari longe.
Wonderful in justice. Hear us, O God our saviour, who art the hope of all the ends of the earth, and in the sea afar off.
Mirabili in aequitate. Exaudi nos, Deo, salutari nostro, spe de omni finio de terra, et in mari longe.
Præparans montes in virtute tua, accinctus potentia;
Thou who preparest the mountains by thy strength, being girded with power:
Praepara montes in virtute tuo, accinge potentia;
qui conturbas profundum maris, sonum fluctuum ejus. Turbabuntur gentes,
Who troublest the depth of the sea, the noise of its waves. The Gentiles shall be troubled,
Qui contura profundo de mari, sono de fluctus de illo. Gentes turba,
et timebunt qui habitant terminos a signis tuis; exitus matutini et vespere delectabis.
And they that dwell in the uttermost borders shall be afraid at thy signs: thou shalt make the outgoings of the morning and of the evening to be joyful.
Et time qui habita terminos ab signos tuo; exitu matutina et vespere delecta.
Visitasti terram, et inebriasti eam; multiplicasti locupletare eam. Flumen Dei repletum est aquis; parasti cibum illorum: quoniam ita est præparatio ejus.
Thou hast visited the earth, and hast plentifully watered it; thou hast many ways enriched it. The river of God is filled with water, thou hast prepared their food: for so is its preparation.
Visita terra, et inebria illa; multiplica locupleta illa. Flumine de Deo reple es aquas; para cibo de illos: quia ita es praeparatione de illo.
Rivos ejus inebria; multiplica genimina ejus: in stillicidiis ejus lætabitur germinans.
Fill up plentifully the streams thereof, multiply its fruits; it shall spring up and rejoice in its showers.
Rivis de illo inebria; multiplica genimines de illo: in stillicidios de illo laetor germina.
Benedices coronæ anni benignitatis tuæ, et campi tui replebuntur ubertate.
Thou shalt bless the crown of the year of thy goodness: and thy fields shall be filled with plenty.
Benedic corona de anno de benignitate tuo, et campos tuo reple ubertate.
Pinguescent speciosa deserti, et exsultatione colles accingentur.
The beautiful places of the wilderness shall grow fat: and the hills shall be girded about with joy,
Specioso desere pinguesce, et exsultatione colles accinge.
Induti sunt arietes ovium, et valles abundabunt frumento; clamabunt, etenim hymnum dicent.
The rams of the flock are clothed, and the vales shall abound with corn: they shall shout, yea they shall sing a hymn.
Indue es arietes de oves, et valles abunda frumento; clama, etenim hymno dic.
