Et egressa est sors secunda filiorum Simeon per cognationes suas: fuitque hæreditas

And the second lot came forth for the children of Simeon by their kindreds: and their inheritance was

Et egredior es sorte secundo de filios Symeone per cognationes suo: et es haereditate

eorum in medio possessionis filiorum Juda: Bersabee et Sabee et Molada

In the midst of the possession of the children of Juda: Bersabee and Sabee and Molada

De illos in medio de possessione de filios Iuda: bersabe et Sabe et Molada

et Hasersual, Bala et Asem

And Hasersual, Bala and Asem,

Et Hasersual, Bala et Aseme

et Eltholad, Bethul et Harma

And Eltholad, Bethul and Harma,

Et Eltholade, Bethule et Harma

et Siceleg et Bethmarchaboth et Hasersusa

And Siceleg and Bethmarchaboth and Hasersusa,

Et Siceleg et Bethmarchaboth et Hasersus

et Bethlebaoth et Sarohen: civitates tredecim, et villæ earum.

And Bethlebaoth and Sarohen: thirteen cities, and their villages.

Et Bethlebaoth et Sarohe: civitates tredecime, et villas de illas.

Ain et Remmon et Athar et Asan: civitates quatuor, et villæ earum:

And Remmon and Athor and Asan: four cities, and their villages.

Ain et Remmone et Athare et Asane: civitates quatuore, et villas de illas:

omnes viculi per circuitum urbium istarum usque ad Baalath Beer Ramath contra australem plagam. Hæc est hæreditas filiorum Simeon juxta cognationes suas,

And all the villages round about these cities to Baalath Beer Ramath to the south quarter. This is the inheritance of the children of Simeon according to their kindreds,

Omni viculos per circuitu de urbes isto usque ad Baalath Bero Ramath contra australi plaga. Hoc es haereditate de filios Symeone juxta cognationes suo,

in possessione et funiculo filiorum Juda: quia major erat, et idcirco filii Simeon possederunt in medio hæreditatis eorum.

In the possession and lot of the children of Juda: because it was too great, and therefore the children of Simeon had their possession in the midst of their inheritance.

In possessione et funiculo de filios Iuda: quia magna es, et ergo filios Symeone posside in medio de haereditate de illos.

Ceciditque sors tertia filiorum Zabulon per cognationes suas: factus est terminus possessionis eorum usque Sarid.

And the third lot fell to the children of Zabulon by their kindreds: and the border of their possession was unto Sarid.

Et sorte tertio de filios Zabulone cade per cognationes suo: facto es termino de possessione de illos usque Sarid.

Ascenditque de mari et Merala, et pervenit in Debbaseth, usque ad torrentem qui est contra Jeconam.

And It went up from the sea and from Merala, and came to Debbaseth: as far as the torrent, which is over against Jeconam.

Et ascende de mari et Merala, et perveni in Debba, usque ad torrente qui es contra Iecona.

Et revertitur de Sared contra orientem in fines Ceseleththabor: et egreditur ad Dabereth, ascenditque contra Japhie.

And it returneth from Sarid eastward to the borders of Ceseleththabor: and it goeth out to Dabereth and ascendeth towards Japhie.

Et reverte de Sarede contra ori in fines Ceseleththabore: et egredior ad Dabereth, et ascende contra Iaphio.

Et inde pertransit usque ad orientalem plagam Gethepher et Thacasin: et egreditur in Remmon, Amthar et Noa.

And it passeth along from thence to the east side of Gethhepher and Thacasin: and goeth out to Remmon, Amthar and Noa.

Et inde pertransi usque ad orientali plaga Gethephro et de Thacasine: et egredior in Remmone, Amthare et Noa.

Et circuit ad aquilonem Hanathon: suntque egressus ejus vallis Jephthaël,

And it turneth about to the north of Hanathon: and the outgoings thereof are the valley of Jephtahel,

Et circui ad aquilone Hanathone: et es egredior de illo de valle Iephthaële,

et Cateth et Naalol et Semeron et Jerala et Bethlehem: civitates duodecim, et villæ earum.

And Cateth and Naalol and Semeron and Jedala and Bethlehem: twelve cities and their villages.

Et Cateth et Naalole et Semerone et Ierala et Bethleheme: civitates duodecime, et villas de illas.

Hæc est hæreditas tribus filiorum Zabulon per cognationes suas, urbes et viculi earum.

This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Zabulon by their kindreds, the cities and their villages.

Hoc es haereditate tre de filio Zabulone per cognationes suo, urbes et viculos de illas.

Issachar egressa est sors quarta per cognationes suas:

The fourth lot came out to Issachar by their kindreds.

Issachare egredior es sorte quarto per cognationes suo:

fuitque ejus hæreditas Jezraël et Casaloth et Sunem

And his inheritance was Jezrael and Casaloth and Sunem,

Et de illo haereditate de Iezraële et Casaloth et Sunpitro es

et Hapharaim et Seon, et Anaharath

And Hapharaim and Seon and Anaharath,

Et Hapharaime et Seone, et Anaharath

et Rabboth et Cesion, Abes,

And Rabboth and Cesion, Abes,

Et ad Rabboth et ad Cesione, Abes,

et Rameth, et Engannim, et Enhadda et Bethpheses.

And Rameth and Engannim and Enhadda and Bethpheses.

Et Rameth, et Enganne, et Enhadda et Bethphese.

Et pervenit terminus ejus usque Thabor et Sehesima et Bethsames, eruntque exitus ejus Jordanis: civitates sedecim, et villæ earum.

And the border thereof cometh to Thabor and Sehesima and Bethsames: and the outgoings thereof shall be at the Jordan: sixteen cities, and their villages.

Et termino de illo perveni usque Thabore et Sehesima et Bethsamite, et es exitus de illo de Iordane: civitates sedecime, et villas de illas.

Hæc est possessio filiorum Issachar per cognationes suas, urbes et viculi earum.

This is the possession of the sons of Issachar by their kindreds, the cities and their villages.

Hoc es possessione de filios Issachare per cognationes suo, urbes et viculos de illas.

Ceciditque sors quinta tribui filiorum Aser per cognationes suas:

And the fifth lot fell to the tribe of the children of Aser by their kindreds:

Et cade sorte quinto tribue de filios Asro per cognationes suo:

fuitque terminus eorum Halcath et Chali et Beten et Axaph

And their border was Halcath and Chali and Beten and Axaph,

Et es termino de illos Halcath et Chalo et Betene et Axaph

et Elmelech et Amaad et Messal: et pervenit usque ad Carmelum maris et Sihor et Labanath,

And Elmelech and Amaad and Messal: and it reacheth to Carmel by the sea and Sihor and Labanath,

Et Elmelech et Amaade et Messala: et perveni usque ad Carmelo de mari et Sihor et Labanath,

ac revertitur contra orientem Bethdagon: et pertransit usque Zabulon et vallem Jephthaël contra aquilonem in Bethemec et Nehiel. Egrediturque ad lævam Cabul,

And it returneth towards the east to Bethdagon: and passeth along to Zabulon and to the valley of Jephthael towards the north to Bethemec and Nehiel. And it goeth out to the left side of Cabul,

Et reverte contra ori Bethdagone: et pertransi usque Zabulone et valle Iephthaële contra aquilone in Bethemece et Nehiele. Et egredior ad laeva Cabule,

et Abran et Rohob et Hamon et Cana, usque ad Sidonem magnam.

And to Abaran and Rohob and Hamon and Cana, as far as the great Sidon.

Et Abrane et Rohobe et Hamone et Cana, usque ad Sidone magna.

Revertiturque in Horma usque ad civitatem munitissimam Tyrum, et usque Hosa: eruntque exitus ejus in mare de funiculo Achziba:

And it returneth to Horma to the strong city of Tyre, and to Hosa: and the outgoings thereof shall be at the sea from the portion of Achziba:

Et reverte in Horma usque ad civitate munito Tyro, et usque Hosa: et es exitus de illo in mari de funiculo de Achziba:

et Amma et Aphec et Rohob: civitates viginti duæ, et villæ earum.

And Amma and Aphec and Rohob: twenty-two cities, and their villages.

Et Amma et Aphece et Rohobe: civitates viginti duo, et villas de illas.

Hæc est possessio filiorum Aser per cognationes suas, urbesque et viculi earum.

This is the possession of the children of Aser by their kindreds, and the cities and their villages.

Hoc es possessione de filios Asro per cognationes suo, et urbes et viculos de illas.

Filiorum Nephthali sexta sors cecidit per familias suas:

The sixth lot came out to the sons of Nephtali by their families:

De filios Nephthali sexto sorte cade per familia suo:

et cœpit terminus de Heleph et Elon in Saananim, et Adami, quæ est Neceb, et Jebnaël usque Lecum: et egressus eorum usque ad Jordanem:

And the border began from Heleph and Elon to Saananim, and Adami, which is Neceb, and Jebnael even to Lecum:

Et incipe termino de Heleph et Elone in Saanane, et de Adamio, que es Necebe, et Iebnaële usque Lecum: et egredior de illos usque ad Iordane:

revertiturque terminus contra occidentem in Azanotthabor, atque inde egreditur in Hucuca, et pertransit in Zabulon contra meridiem, et in Aser contra occidentem, et in Juda ad Jordanem contra ortum solis:

And the border returneth westward to Azanotthabor, and goeth out from thence to Hucuca, and passeth along to Zabulon southward, and to Aser westward, and to Juda upon the Jordan towards the rising of the sun.

Et termino reverte contra occidente in Azanotthabore, et inde egredior in Hucuca, et pertransi in Zabulone contra meridie, et in Asro contra occidente, et in Iuda ad Iordane contra ori de sole:

civitates munitissimæ, Assedim, Ser, et Emath, et Reccath et Cenereth,

And the strong cities are Assedim, Ser, and Emath, and Reccath and Cenereth,

Civitates munito, Assedia, Servio, et Emath, et Reccath et Cenereth,

et Edema et Arama, Asor

And Edema and Arama, Asor,

Et Edema et Arama, Asore

et Cedes et Edrai, Enhasor,

And Cedes and Edri, Enhasor,

Et Cedes et Edrao, Enhasore,

et Jeron et Magdalel, Horem et Bethanath et Bethsames: civitates decem et novem, et villæ earum.

And Jeron and Magdalel, Horem, and Bethanath and Bethsames: nineteen cities, and their villages.

Et Ierone et Magdalele, Horase et Bethanath et Bethsamite: civitates deceme et noveme, et villas de illas.

Hæc est possessio tribus filiorum Nephthali per cognationes suas, urbes et viculi earum.

This is the possession of the tribe of the children of Nephtali by their kindreds, the cities and their villages.

Hoc es possessione tre de filio Nephthali per cognationes suo, urbes et viculos de illas.

Tribui filiorum Dan per familias suas egressa est sors septima:

The seventh lot came out to the tribe of the children of Dan by their families

Ad tribu de filios Dano per familia suo egredior es sorte septimo:

et fuit terminus possessionis ejus Sara et Esthaol, et Hirsemes, id est, civitas solis.

And the border of their possession was Saraa and Esthaol, and Hirsemes, that is, the city of the sun,

Et es termino de possessione de illo Sara et Esthaole, et Hirseme, id es, civitate de sole.

And Juda and Bane and Barach and Gethremmon:

et Mejarcon et Arecon, cum termino qui respicit Joppen,

And Mejarcon and Arecon, with the border that looketh towards Joppe,

Et Meiarcone et Arecone, cum termino qui respice Ioppe,

et ipso fine concluditur. Ascenderuntque filii Dan, et pugnaverunt contra Lesem, ceperuntque eam: et percusserunt eam in ore gladii, et possederunt, et habitaverunt in ea, vocantes nomen ejus Lesem Dan, ex nomine Dan patris sui.

And is terminated there. And the children of Dan went up and fought against Lesem, and took it: and they put it to the sword, and possessed it, and dwelt in it, calling the name of it Lesem Dan, by the name of Dan their father.

Et ipso fine conclude. Et filios Dano ascende, et pugna contra Lese, et cape illa: et percute illa in ore de gladio, et posside, et habita in illa, voca nomine de illo Lese Dano, ex nomine Dano de patre suo.

Hæc est possessio tribus filiorum Dan, per cognationes suas, urbes et viculi earum.

This is the possession of the tribe of the sons of Dan, by their kindreds, the cities and their villages.

Hoc es possessione tre de filio Dano, per cognationes suo, urbes et viculos de illas.

Cumque complesset sorte dividere terram singulis per tribus suas, dederunt filii Israël possessionem Josue filio Nun in medio sui,

And when he had made an end of dividing the land by lot to each one by their tribes, the children of Israel gave a possession to Joshua the son of Nun in the midst of them,

Cumque comple sorte divide terra singulo per tre suo, filios Israële da possessione Ioso ad filio Nune in medio suo,

juxta præceptum Domini, urbem quam postulavit Thamnath Saraa in monte Ephraim: et ædificavit civitatem, habitavitque in ea.

According to the commandment of the Lord, the city which he asked for, Thamnath Saraa, in mount Ephraim: and he built up the city, and dwelt in it.

Juxta praecepto de Domino, urbe Thamnath Saraa postula quam in monte Ephraeme: et aedifica civitate, et habita in illa.

Hæ sunt possessiones, quas sorte diviserunt Eleazar sacerdos, et Josue filius Nun, et principes familiarum ac tribuum filiorum Israël in Silo, coram Domino ad ostium tabernaculi testimonii: partitique sunt terram.

These are the possessions which Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the princes of the families, and of the tribes of the children of Israel, distributed by lot in Silo, before the Lord at the door of the tabernacle of the testimony, and they divided the land.

Hoc es possessiones, que sorte divide Eleazare sacerdote, et Ioso filio Nune, et principes de familias et de tribus de filios Israële in Siloë, coram Domino ad ostio de tabernaculo de testimonio: et partior es terra.
