De hyacintho vero et purpura, vermiculo ac bysso, fecit vestes, quibus indueretur Aaron quando ministrabat in sanctis, sicut præcepit Dominus Moysi.

And he made, of violet and purple, scarlet and fine linen, the vestments for Aaron to wear when he ministered in the holy places, as the Lord commanded Moses.

Fecit igitur superhumerale de auro, hyacintho, et purpura, coccoque bis tincto, et bysso retorta,

So he made an ephod of gold, violet, and purple, and scarlet twice dyed, and fine twisted linen,

Fac ergo superhumeralis de auro, hyacintho, et purpura, et cocco bis tinge, et bysso retor,

opere polymitario: inciditque bracteas aureas, et extenuavit in fila, ut possent torqueri cum priorum colorum subtegmine,

With embroidered work, and he cut thin plates of gold, and drew them small into threads, that they might be twisted with the woof of the foresaid colours,

Opere polymitario: et incide bracteas aureas, et extenua in filas, ut pote torque cum priore de coloros subtegmine,

duasque oras sibi invicem copulatas in utroque latere summitatum,

And two borders coupled one to the other in the top on either side,

Et duo oras ad se invicem copula in et utro latere summitate,

et balteum ex eisdem coloribus, sicut præceperat Dominus Moysi.

And a girdle of the same colours, as the Lord had commanded Moses.

Et balteo ex idem colores, sicut Domino de Moysi praecipie.

Paravit et duos lapides onychinos, astrictos et inclusos auro, et sculptos arte gemmaria nominibus filiorum Israël:

He prepared also two onyx stones, fast set and closed in gold, and graven, by the art of a lapidary, with the names of the children of Israel:

Para et duo lapide onychinos, astringe et include auro, et sculpe arte gemmario nomines de filios Israële:

posuitque eos in lateribus superhumeralis in monimentum filiorum Israël, sicut præceperat Dominus Moysi.

And he set them in the sides of the ephod, for a memorial of the children of Israel, as the Lord had commanded Moses.

Et pone illos in lateres superhumeralis in monimento de filios Israële, sicut Domino de Moysi praecipie.

Fecit et rationale opere polymito juxta opus superhumeralis, ex auro, hyacintho, purpura, coccoque bis tincto, et bysso retorta:

He made also a rational with embroidered work, according to the work of the ephod, of gold, violet, purple, and scarlet twice dyed, and fine twisted linen:

Rationalis et fac opere polymito juxta opere superhumeralis, ex auro, hyacintho, purpura, et cocco bis tinge, et bysso retor:

quadrangulum, duplex, mensuræ palmi.

Foursquare, double, of the measure of a span.

Quadrangulo, duplici, de mensura de palmo.

Et posuit in eo gemmarum ordines quatuor. In primo versu erat sardius, topazius, smaragdus.

And he set four rows of precious stones in it. In the first row was a sardius, a topaz, an emerald.

Et pone in eo de gemmas ordines quatuore. In primo versu es sardio, topazio, smaragdo.

In secundo, carbunculus, sapphirus, et jaspis.

In the second, a carbuncle, a sapphire, and a jasper.

In secundo, carbunculo, sapphiro, et iaspide.

In tertio, ligurius, achates, et amethystus.

In the third, a ligurius, an agate, and an amethyst.

In tertio, ligure, achase, et amethysto.

In quarto, chrysolithus, onychinus, et beryllus, circumdati et inclusi auro per ordines suos.

In the fourth, a chrysolite, an onyx, and a beryl, set and enclosed in gold by their rows.

In quarto, chrysolitho, onychino, et beryllo, circumda et auro include per ordines suo.

Ipsique lapides duodecim sculpti erant nominibus duodecim tribuum Israël, singuli per nomina singulorum.

And the twelve stones, were engraved with the names of the twelve tribes of Israel, each one with its several name.

Et ipso lapides duodecime sculpe es nomines duodecime de tribus Israële, singulo per nomines singulo.

Fecerunt in rationali et catenulas sibi invicem cohærentes, de auro purissimo:

They made also in the rational little chains, linked one to another, of the purest gold,

Fac in rationali et catenulas ad se invicem cohaere, de auro purissimo:

et duos uncinos, totidemque annulos aureos. Porro annulos posuerunt in utroque latere rationalis,

And two hooks, and as many rings of gold. And they set the rings on either side of the rational,

Et duo uncino, et totideme annulos aurea. Porro annulos pone in et utro latere rationalis,

e quibus penderent duæ catenæ aureæ, quas inseruerunt uncinis, qui in superhumeralis angulis eminebant.

On which rings the two golden chains should hang, which they put into the hooks that stood out in the corners of the ephod.

Ex que pende duo catena aurea, que insere ad uncinas, qui in superhumeralis angulos emine.

Hæc et ante et retro ita conveniebant sibi, ut superhumerale et rationale mutuo necterentur,

These both before and behind so answered one another, that the ephod and the rational were bound together,

Hoc et ante et retro ita conveni ad se, ut superhumeralis et rationalis mutuo nector,

stricta ad balteum et annulis fortius copulata, quos jungebat vitta hyacinthina, ne laxa fluerent, et a se invicem moverentur, sicut præcepit Dominus Moysi.

Being fastened to the girdle, and strongly coupled with rings, which a violet fillet joined, lest they should flag loose, and be moved one from the other, as the Lord commanded Moses.

Strina ad balteo et annulos fortiter comula, vitta hyacinthina iunge que, ne laxo flue, et ab se invicem move, sicut Domino de Moysi praecipie.

Feceruntque quoque tunicam superhumeralis totam hyacinthinam,

They made also the tunic of the ephod all of violet,

Et fac etiam tunica superhumeralis toto hyacinthino,

et capitium in superiori parte contra medium, oramque per gyrum capitii textilem:

And a hole for the head in the upper part at the middle, and a woven border round about the hole:

Et capitio in superiori parte contra medio, et ora per gyro de caputio textili:

deorsum autem ad pedes mala punica ex hyacintho, purpura, vermiculo, ac bysso retorta:

And beneath at the feet pomegranates of violet, purple, scarlet, and fine twisted linen:

Deorsum autem ad pedes malo punico ex hyacintho, purpura, vermiculo, et bysso retor:

et tintinnabula de auro purissimo, quæ posuerunt inter malogranata, in extrema parte tunicæ per gyrum:

And little bells of the purest gold, which they put between the pomegranates at the bottom of the tunic round about:

Et tintinnabulos de auro purissimo, que pone inter malogra, in extremo parte de tunica per gyro:

tintinnabulum autem aureum, et malum punicum, quibus ornatus incedebat pontifex quando ministerio fungebatur, sicut præceperat Dominus Moysi.

To wit, a bell of gold, and a pomegranate, wherewith the high priest went adorned, when he discharged his ministry, as the Lord had commanded Moses.

Tintinnabulo autem aurea, et malo punico, ad que orna incede pontifice quando ministerio fungor, sicut Domino de Moysi praecipie.

Fecerunt et tunicas byssinas opere textili Aaron et filiis ejus:

They made also fine linen tunics with woven work for Aaron and his sons:

Fac et tunicas byssinas opere textili Aarone et filios de illo:

et mitras cum coronulis suis ex bysso:

And mitres with their little crowns of fine linen:

Et mitras cum coronulos suo ex bysso:

feminalia quoque linea, byssina:

And linen breeches of fine linen:

Feminale etiam linea, byssina:

cingulum vero de bysso retorta, hyacintho, purpura, ac vermiculo bis tincto, arte plumaria, sicut præceperat Dominus Moysi.

And a girdle of fine twisted linen, violet, purple, and scarlet twice dyed, of embroidery work, as the Lord had commanded Moses.

Cingulo vero de bysso retorta, hyacintho, purpura, et vermiculo bis tinge, arte plumaria, sicut Domino de Moysi praecipie.

Fecerunt et laminam sacræ venerationis de auro purissimo, scripseruntque in ea opere gemmario, Sanctum Domini:

They made also the plate of sacred veneration of the purest gold, and they wrote on it with the engraving of a lapidary: The Holy of the Lord:

Fac et lamina de sacra de veneratione de auro purissimo, et scribe in illa opere gemmario, Sancto de Domino:

et strinxerunt eam cum mitra vitta hyacinthina, sicut præceperat Dominus Moysi.

And they fastened it to the mitre with a violet fillet, as the Lord had commanded Moses.

Et stringe illa cum mitra vitta hyacinthina, sicut Domino de Moysi praecipie.

Perfectum est igitur omne opus tabernaculi et tecti testimonii: feceruntque filii Israël cuncta quæ præceperat Dominus Moysi.

So all the work of the tabernacle and of the roof of the testimony was finished: and the children of Israel did all things which the Lord had commanded Moses.

Perfecto es ergo omni opere de tabernaculo et de tecto de testimonio: et filios Israële cuncta que Domino de Moysi praecipie que.

Et obtulerunt tabernaculum et tectum et universam supellectilem, annulos, tabulas, vectes, columnas ac bases,

And they offered the tabernacle, and the roof, and the whole furniture, the rings, the boards, the bars, the pillars and their sockets,

Et offer tabernaculo et tecto et universa supellectili, annulos, tabulas, vectes, columnas et basees,

opertorium de pellibus arietum rubricatis, et aliud operimentum de janthinis pellibus,

The cover of rams' skins dyed red, and the other cover of violet skins,

Opertorio de pelles de arietis rubrica, et alio operimento de ianthinas pelles,

velum; arcam, vectes, propitiatorium,

The veil, the ark, the bars, the propitiatory,

Velo; arca, vectes, propitiatorio,

mensam cum vasis suis et propositionis panibus;

The table, with the vessels thereof, and the loaves of proposition:

Mensa cum vases suo et de propositione panes;

candelabrum, lucernas, et utensilia earum cum oleo;

The candlestick, the lamps, and the furniture of them, with the oil:

Candelabro, lucernas, et utensilia de illas cum oleo;

altare aureum, et unguentum, et thymiama ex aromatibus,

The altar of gold, and the ointment, and the incense of spices:

Altari aurea, et unguento, et thymiamate ex aromates,

et tentorium in introitu tabernaculi;

And the hanging in the entry of the tabernacle:

Et tentorio in introitu de tabernaculo;

altare æneum, retiaculum, vectes, et vasa ejus omnia; labrum cum basi sua; tentoria atrii, et columnas cum basibus suis;

The altar of brass, the grate, the bars, and all the vessels thereof: the laver, with the foot thereof: the hangings of the court, and the pillars, with their sockets:

Altari aenea, retiaculo, vectes, et vases de illo omni; labro cum basis suo; tentorias de atrio, et columnas cum basees suo;

tentorium in introitu atrii, funiculosque illius et paxillos. Nihil ex vasis defuit, quæ in ministerium tabernaculi, et in tectum fœderis jussa sunt fieri.

The hanging in the entry of the court, and the little cords, and the pins thereof. Nothing was wanting of the vessels, that were commanded to be made for the ministry of the tabernacle, and for the roof of the covenant.

Tentorio in introitu de atrio, et funiculos de illo et paxillus. Nihil ex vases desume, que in ministerio de tabernaculo, et in tecto de foedro iube es fieri.

Vestes quoque, quibus sacerdotes utuntur in sanctuario, Aaron scilicet et filii ejus,

The vestments also, which the priests, to wit, Aaron and his sons, use in the sanctuary,

Vestes etiam, ad que sacerdotes ute in sanctuario, Aarone id es et filios de illo,

obtulerunt filii Israël, sicut præceperat Dominus.

The children of Israel offered, as the Lord had commanded.

Filios Israële offer, sicut Domino praecipie.

Quæ postquam Moyses cuncta vidit completa, benedixit eis.

And when Moses saw all things finished, he blessed them.

Que postquam Moyse vide cuncta comple, benedic ad illos.
